This means you can’t use caramel, chocolate or vanilla.
Instead, you can use sugar cane sugar.
And, you’ll need to use the right proportions of ingredients for each recipe.
You can always add extra ingredients as needed to create a different, more authentic version of Sarris.1) What you need for your recipe:A bowl of granulated sugar, preferably a large bowl with an empty one on top.2) How to make your Sarris:Combine all the ingredients you want in a bowl and mix well.
(If you’re making a large batch, add up to 1/2 teaspoon of salt, but if you’re just making a couple of dozen, just use a tablespoon of salt.
3) Once you’re happy with the consistency, pour it into a large glass jar and seal.4) Keep in mind that the mixture will keep for a week, but you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.5) When you’re ready to use it, simply sprinkle the Sarris on top of the granulated Sugar and seal the lid.
