White Rabbit candy clarkson to return to the NHL’s Blue Jackets August 2, 2021 August 2, 2021 admin

White Rabbit Candy Co. is returning to the Columbus Blue Jackets and will return to its parent company, candy manufacturer Cargill.

The announcement is made by a Cargil spokesperson in a news release.

“The Cargi-Candy brand is a brand synonymous with the rich heritage of the Ohio region and we are thrilled to be able to expand our reach in Columbus and beyond,” Cargili president and CEO James S. Campbell said in the release.

The company will begin selling its white rabbit candy in its Columbus stores, and its Columbus-based parent company will retain the rights to distribute the product in Canada and the U.S. The news comes less than two weeks after the Blue Jackets traded away Ryan Murray to the Tampa Bay Lightning in a blockbuster trade.

Murray, 29, had spent two seasons with the Blue Jacket organization after he signed a one-year contract in March.

The forward had a career-best 11 goals in 44 games this season.

The trade was made to allow Cargills expansion franchise, the Columbus Ice Dogs, to move forward and give Cargillas NHL expansion rights.

Campbell’s statement said the company will continue to provide the Columbus market with a variety of products including ice cream and candy, along with the Cargli-Cherry brand.
